The York-Adams League has announced its boys' soccer all-stars for the 2023 season.

Division champions Northeastern, Kennard-Dale and York Catholic all took home postseason accolades, with Spring Grove and Littlestown also represented among the league's award winners. Coaches also selected first and second teams for all three divisions, recognizing standouts from all 22 of the league's programs.

Northeastern midfielder Evan Jennings is the repeat Division I Player of the Year after leading the Bobcats to another shared D-I title. The senior tallied 11 goals and three assists while also making his mark on the defensive end. Northeastern defeated division foe South Western, 4-0, in Tuesday's opening round of the District 3 Class 4A playoffs and is one win away from competing at states.

Spring Grove's Chris Salemme was named D-I Coach of the Year after guiding the Rockets to a third-place finish and a spot in the league tournament. Spring Grove went 8-10-1 this season and was the first team out of the District 3 Class 3A playoff field.

In Division II, Kennard-Dale goalie Logan Sumner stifled opposing offenses all year long en route to Player of the Year honors. The junior allowed only four goals in the Rams' 16 regular-season games and made 64 saves. Three of those opposing tallies came in Kennard-Dale's first five games, meaning Sumner surrendered one goal over the final month of the regular season. He beat out a decorated field for the award, including 2022 Player of the Year Harvin Flowers of New Oxford.

Rams coach Matt Logue was selected as the D-II Coach of the Year. Kennard-Dale repeated as division champions before once again taking second in the York-Adams League tournament (this time falling in the final to New Oxford on PKs). The Rams improved to 17-2-1 with their 3-2, double-overtime victory over Cocalico in the first round of the District 3-3A playoffs on Monday and will face D-II rival Susquehannock this Thursday with a state playoff berth on the line.

Division III coaches honored York Catholic midfielder Andrew Schuler as Player of the Year, while Littlestown's Christopher Meakin was named Goalkeeper of the Year. Schuler tallied 17 goals and 15 assists for the division champion Fighting Irish, pairing with striker Ryan Oathout (21 goals, 16 assists) to give York Catholic one of the league's best 1-2 scoring combos. Meakin, a 6-foot-8 basketball star, used his size in goal to help lead the Thunderbolts to the District 3 Class 2A playoffs, where they bowed out in the first round Tuesday.

York Catholic's Joe Nattans took home D-III Coach of the Year honors. The Fighting Irish (13-4) will look to extend their season with a District 3 Class 1A home victory Wednesday against High Point Baptist.
