Before the York Revolution officially begin their 2024 season next week, the team is set to host its annual Fan Fest on Saturday evening at WellSpan Park.

The annual event will feature a 7 p.m. game between the Revs and the York County All-Stars, a team featuring players from the local Central and Susquehanna Leagues. Saturday's festivities will begin at 5 p.m. pm Brooks Robinson Plaza. Revs players will be on hand for pictures and autographs from 5:15 to 5:45 on the plaza, and the stadium gates will open at 6.

Fan Fest tickets are $5 for the general public, $3 for partial-season members and free for full-season members.

York Revolution's Trey Martin (2) swings during the York Revolution's Fan Fest game in April 2023. Martin has signed to return to the Revs this season.

York is coming off a 71-54 season in Rick Forney's first campaign as manager. The Revs finished second in the Atlantic League's North Division in both the first and second halves of the season to narrowly miss out on the playoffs.

Of York's 32 offseason signings, only six players — catcher Jacob Rhinesmith, outfielder Trey Martin and pitchers Tom Sutera, Zach Neff, Will Carter and Nelvin Correa — were on the 2023 team. New additions with Major League experience include third baseman Colton Welker and pitchers Aaron Fletcher and Chris Vallimont, the latter of whom made his MLB debut with the Baltimore Orioles last year.

Those who attend Fan Fest will get a first look at a new, 1,700-square-foot videoboard beyond center field that is more than triple the size of the previous board, as well as double the resolution and brightness. The field also has a new Kentucky bluegrass playing surface, installed in the wake of a 2023 vandalism incident.

The Susquehanna and Central League all-star team is slated to include Stoverstown's Chris Mattison, Justin Charles and Xavier Bonilla; Mt. Wolf's Mark Burnside; Jefferson's Sam Crater; Manchester's Jonah Latchaw, Joe Capobianco and Jonathan Lugo; Hallam's Alex Tucci; York Township's David Miele; East Prospect's Ryky Smith, Dalton Renn, Devin Strickler and Dylan Stoops; Felton's Kameron Bayman; and Windsor's Shawn Wilson.

Next Thursday, April 25, the Revs will open their season at home against the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars, the Atlantic League's newest team. York will honor team co-founder and Baseball Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson with a ceremony and a jersey giveaway on opening night.

Robinson, who played 23 MLB seasons with the Orioles, died in September at age 86. His son, Brooks Robinson Jr., will be on hand for the pregame ceremony. The jersey given to the first 1,000 fans will be a replica of the one Robinson wore with the York White Roses, with whom he began his professional career in 1955. Next Thursday will also mark the conclusion of the Brooks Robinson Foundation charity auction, which launches online this Thursday.

The Revs' 126-game Atlantic League schedule will run through Sept. 15. They hope a return to the postseason lies at the end of that road.
