Lois Marie “Sis” Crowl, 83, entered into rest at 4:01 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at her home. She was the wife of the late Dennis E. Crowl.

Born August 10, 1940 in Blue Ridge Summit, Lois was a daughter of the late Edward B. and Florence (Kauffman) Naugle.

Lois had 26 years of service as a cafeteria cook at Dover High School. Following retirement, she worked at Wendy’s and McDonalds.

Lois enjoyed going to yard sales, playing bingo and going out to eat at several local restaurants. She loved her cats, especially her beloved “Dutch”. Lois enjoyed a wide genre of films and was an avid movie enthusiast.

She is survived by her three sons, Robin Earl Crowl and wife, Connie of Red Lion, Vincent Edward Crowl of Dover and David Wayne Crowl and wife, Cindy of Dover; three grandchildren, Amanda Marie Crowl, Cory Steven Crowl and April Lynne Crowl; three great grandchildren, Leana, Sophia and Hunter; and a sister, Ada Price of Blue Ridge Summit. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Logan Crowl; three sisters, Loretta Gladhill, Catherine Kint and Verna Linebaugh; and four brothers, Edward "Book", William, Rodney and Wayne Naugle.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lois’ funeral at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. The viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Officiating will be Chaplain Robert Rohrbaugh of Memorial White Rose Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
