Denise M. Bates

Denise M. Bates, 49, entered into rest at home on Sunday, May 5th, 2024. She was the wife of Andrew K. Bates for 21 years and was the mother of Emma G. Bates.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th from 3-4 p.m. with a memorial service following at Keffer Funeral Home in York.

Denise was born to the late Steve and Barbara Silvus on December 11, 1974 in Austin, TX. She was a state officer for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, where she found a great love for community service and her fellow sisters.

Denise moved to York, PA in 2001 to be with Andy. On April, 18, 2003 they were married on Shipwreck Beach, Kauai. Her ultimate dream in life, her daughter, Emma Grace was born on October 15, 2007.

Denise worked at Pyrotek inc. as a software manager for over 20 years.

During her life, Denise loved helping those around her and supporting her loved ones.

Denise is survived by her husband, Andrew, and daughter, Emma, of York and her sister Laura (Howard) of Austin.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rainbow Girls Texas Pot of Gold Foundation.
